Next to an old, dramatic poem I\u2019d written when we were first dating, he had written: ‘This is the moment I knew I\u2019d marry her.’ Beside a rejected article, he\u2019d noted: ‘Their loss. This is her best description yet.’ I realized he had saved every single word I\u2019d ever written. He did process the emotion; he just never told me.<\/p>\n
