David Caruso, the famous star from the hit TV show “CSI: Miami,” was born on January 7, 1956, in Queens, New York. Even though he had a difficult childhood growing up in a single-parent home, he always knew he wanted to be an actor. Early roles in “First Blood” and “Hill Street Blues” first showed audiences his intense acting style and set the stage for his future success.<\/p>\n

His major breakthrough came in 1993 when he played Detective John Kelly on the popular television show “NYPD Blue.” Caruso won a Golden Globe Award and received praise from critics all over the country for his incredible performance.
