Is It Safe to Wash and Reuse Ziploc Bags?

Reusable plastic bags can often be safely washed and reused when they have held dry foods or clean items such as bread, crackers, vegetables, or cheese.
Wash them thoroughly with warm, soapy water, rinse well, and let them air-dry completely before using them again.
Bags that contained raw meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, greasy foods, or strong-smelling items should generally be discarded because bacteria and residues can be difficult to remove.
If a bag is damaged, stained, difficult to clean, or still smells after washing, throw it away—safe reuse can reduce waste and save money without risking food safety
