Chad Allen began working professionally as an actor at just eight years old, starring in medical dramas and popular family television series while navigating the intense demands of the entertainment industry.

At age sixteen, Allen temporarily stepped away from Hollywood to attend high school and experience a more normal teenage life, finding a renewed sense of creativity and belonging through the school drama club.

In 1996, while appearing in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Allen was publicly outed by a tabloid that published unauthorized photographs of him, leading to difficult conversations with his family and a noticeable decline in pilot audition opportunities.

After overcoming personal struggles with alcohol and recovery, Allen ultimately left Hollywood behind in 2015 to earn a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and establish a private practice called Confluence Psychotherapy, dedicating his life to helping others work through trauma and identity challenges.
