Tiny Blisters on Your Fingers? Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Ignore Them

Small, fluid-filled blisters that suddenly appear on your fingers or hands can be surprising. One common cause is dyshidrotic eczema, which produces clusters of tiny, itchy blisters, often along the sides of the fingers, palms, or feet.

Other possible causes include contact dermatitis, allergic reactions, insect bites, and infections. Herpetic whitlow, caused by the herpes simplex virus, can cause painful grouped blisters along with redness and swelling and may require medical treatment.

Mild cases may improve with gentle skin care. Keeping the area clean and dry, avoiding irritating soaps or chemicals, using fragrance-free moisturizers, and resisting the urge to scratch or pop the blisters can help protect the skin while it heals.

However, blisters that are spreading, extremely painful, filled with pus, accompanied by fever, or repeatedly returning should be evaluated by a healthcare professional. Because different conditions can look similar, getting the correct diagnosis is important before starting treatment.READ BELOW
