Jeremy Meeks became internationally known in 2014 when his Stockton, California, booking photo went viral and earned him the nickname “Hot Felon,” but his story extends far beyond that image. He was arrested on a firearm charge, sentenced to 27 months in federal prison and released in March 2016 after serving about 13 months. Afterward, he built careers in modeling and fashion, appearing on major runways, launching clothing projects, and later working as an actor and author. Meeks has also spoken openly about a difficult childhood, addiction and the challenges that continued even after fame, making his journey less a simple “prison to runway” story and more a complicated account of crime, unexpected opportunity, personal struggles and reinvention.
