Five Colorado teenagers—Tristan Tucker, William Simms, Tyler Kersey-Huffman, Titus Gould and Braden Taylor—died after the vehicle they were traveling in went off a steep hillside in Grand Junction on Aug. 9. Authorities said the vehicle had apparently left the roadway late the previous night before crashing down the hillside, with all five victims dying at the scene from their injuries. Investigators are still examining the circumstances, including whether speed played a role, while the Grand Junction community and their families mourn the five young lives lost just as the new school year was beginning.
