A seemingly innocent photo of an adult and child fishing at Cahill’s Crossing in Australia’s Kakadu National Park sparked outrage online after viewers realized they were standing just inches from waters known for dangerous saltwater crocodiles. The area has warning signs urging visitors not to enter the water and has previously been the site of fatal crocodile attacks. Experts say crocodiles can strike within seconds and may be nearly impossible to spot, making the pair’s close proximity to the water especially risky.
