A women’s health GP, Dr Nighat Arif, has warned that ovarian cancer can sometimes be detected early and urged people not to ignore persistent symptoms. The four key signs she highlighted are bloating lasting more than three weeks, difficulty eating or feeling full quickly, needing to urinate more frequently, and new pain around the stomach, lower back or thighs. She also noted that unexplained weight loss and extreme tiredness can be additional warning signs, and encouraged anyone experiencing persistent changes to speak with their GP, where tests such as a transvaginal ultrasound and CA125 blood test may be considered…
