**Title:** My Mom Found This Strange Vintage Item at Grandma’s House… Can You Identify It?
My mom came across this unusual little item while cleaning out my grandma’s house. We believe it dates somewhere between the 1960s and the 1980s, but neither of us has any idea what it was actually used for.
At first glance, I thought it might be a glasses case. However, after opening it, there really isn’t enough space inside to store a pair of glasses, which made us question that theory.
There were actually two of them. One is broken and pretty dirty, and the inside has soft, furry pads. That made us wonder if it could have been designed for polishing something instead of storing it.
Our best guess is that it may have been used for cufflinks, a watch face, jewelry, or another small collectible that needed polishing and buffing. Does anyone recognize it or remember seeing something like this before?
