At Just Five Years Old, He Has Faced Challenges Most People Could Never Imagine… See more

At just five years old, Ryder Wells from North Carolina has endured more horror than most experience in a lifetime. In 2015, while visiting family for Thanksgiving at just 21 months old, he miraculously survived a brutal attack by two 100-pound Rottweilers.

The attack left him with life-threatening injuries, including a lost half-face, crushed teeth, a broken arm, and a punctured lung. Defying his family’s fears that he wouldn’t make it, the brave boy fought through and has since endured approximately 50 surgeries to reconstruct his features.

Tragically, instead of receiving compassion for surviving such a horrific ordeal, Ryder faces heartbreaking cruelty from both children and adults. According to his mother, Brittany, people stare, and children at the park have even pointed, screamed “monster,” and run away from him.

Despite the painful reaction from strangers and the ongoing medical challenges, Ryder continues to display incredible strength. His resilience remains a testament to his fighting spirit as his family navigates his recovery and advocates for kindness.
