Tributes have poured in for Damian Marecki, a “kind and generous” 17-year-old from Ballybane, Co Galway, who passed away surrounded by family after bravely battling aggressive cancer for over a year. The Merlin College sixth-year student, who was awaiting his Leaving Certificate results, is remembered fondly by classmates and teachers for his warmth and resilience.
