Born with Treacher Collins syndrome, Jono Lancaster was abandoned by his biological parents at the hospital just days after birth due to his facial differences and medical needs.
His life turned around when a caring woman named Jean adopted him in 1990. Despite growing up loved, Jono faced severe bullying and depression as a teenager, avoiding mirrors and harboring deep resentment toward his appearance.
A chance, humorous interaction while working as a bartender helped shift his perspective. Realizing his negative mindset was his biggest obstacle, he chose to embrace his unique look and build self-confidence.
