A 17-year-old suspect was arrested and charged as an adult in connection with the alleged armed carjacking of an off-duty FBI agent in Washington, D.C. Police identified the suspect as Devonta Lynch, while another person believed to be involved remains at large.

According to court documents, the agent was standing beside her vehicle when she was suddenly attacked. One of the suspects allegedly pointed a handgun at her and demanded her phone and car keys before the pair fled in her vehicle.

The stolen car was reportedly found abandoned about 15 minutes later. Investigators said surveillance footage helped identify Lynch, and authorities later recovered ammunition and other items during a search of his residence.

Although Lynch was 17 at the time of the alleged crime, prosecutors charged him as an adult because of the seriousness of the allegations. A judge ordered him to remain in juvenile detention without bond while the case continues, and police are still searching for the second suspect.READ BELOW
